10 Best Blogs on Mindfulness and Personal Growth

10 Best Blogs on Mindfulness and Personal Growth.

Mindfulness – A state of active, open attention on the present. When you’re mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience.” – Psychology Today

Mindfulness is a buzzword at the moment, or maybe it has been around for thousands of years, and it is only now that we focus on it. Only now, when our lives are a hectic blur of learning, improving, working, living, breathing, that we suddenly have come to the realisation that if we do not stop and live in the moment, we might miss the little things that give us pleasure.

Or maybe it’s just me.

Either way, some days I feel like I can look back at my week or month and see a blur of events, with nothing in clear focus. Just a mash. It’s those times when I look to these websites to give me a bit of clarity, a bit of guidance, and to seek out some resources to help me practice being more mindful. Recently, I’ve been loving posts that focus on personal growth and mindfulness. I love bloggers who discuss and explain how we can improve our mind, body, and soul.

Whether you’re trying to learn to be more productive, get in shape, or achieve your goals, these sites focus on personal development topics that can get you inspired and motivated!

Here are my current favs:

The Blissful Mind. 1 / The Blissful Mind

Meet Catherine, the bliss guru creator of the Blissful Mind, there to help make your life simpler so you can be the calmest, healthiest, most productive version of yourself!

MindBodyGreen website link. 4 / MindBodyGreen

Mindbodygreen is a lifestyle media brand dedicated to inspiring it’s audience to live their best life.

They provide information on everything that’s great for you: mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and environmentally — because they believe these pillars of wellness are vital and interconnected. Hence mindbodygreen (one word, not three).

TheEveryGirl5 / The Everygirl

The Everygirl is one of the ultimate online resource  available to help shape creative, career-driven women to experience a life better lived. LifeGoalsMag6 / Life Goals Mag

One of my fav online magazines, Life Goals Mag is all about striving to work towards being the best versions of ourselves that we can be, and flourishing in any environment we may find ourselves in. Life Goals Mag is a great online space that provides encouraging, fun, helpful, and insightful tips in resources.

“LGM is for women who aspire to do more, be more, see more, and learn more. We’re not satisfied with staying the same. We’re always working to improve ourselves. We’re open-minded. We’re curious. We’re passionate.” – Life Goals Mag website

TinyBuddha7 / Tiny Buddha

Tiny Buddha is a self-help, health, wellness, mindfulness and inspirational wisdom website founded by author Lori Deschene in 2009. It may sound super spiritual, but definitely do not need to be Buddhist to appreciate this website. It’s got more than just a blog, it has forums too.

BestKeptSelf8 / Best Kept Self

I love this site because it has such a diverse range of topics for business owners that all come under the umbrella of mindfulness and personal growth, so you will never have to search too far for articles that suit your needs! Best Kept Self is a great online platform if you are interested in self-care and can label yourself as ‘busy, burnt-out, and overwhelmed’

They have a great motto too: ‘We believe that your business thrives when you thrive.’

The Best Kept Self  mission statement:
To help entrepreneurs regain energy through their health, become more authentic in the way they look, and live a more abundant life by cultivating mindfulness.

ZenHabits9 / Zen Habits

Zen Habits is about finding simplicity and mindfulness in the daily chaos of our lives. It’s about clearing the clutter so we can focus on what’s important, create something amazing, find happiness.

You will love this site because it simply is so zen in not just it’s blog topics, but the design of the blog itself. No stressful ads popping up, it’s not trying to sell anything to you, there are no bright horrendous colours drilling into your eyeballs. It is just so peaceful to scroll through the content!

DoyouYoga10 / DoYouYoga

Mindfulness and yoga go hand in hand, and even if you don’t practice yoga (you really should, here’s a link to a great place to start!) DoYouYoga is a really fun and inviting environment full of online resources.

I’d love to hear what you think about mindfulness and your go-to websites. Let me know in the comments!

  1. HI Nicole,
Great suggestions, there is so much to discover about mindfulness and being in this space is all about immersion and absorption. I have disconnected from so many things that no longer serve my mindful practice, and these suggestions should help – might also mention Elephant Journal as a good resource for future compilations.
    Grateful,
    Bren

  2. Hey Nic, thanx! My faves are Zen Mind (love Leo B!) and Tiny Buddha. I’d love you check out my blog at http://www.joyfulmind.net.au/blog. Thirty years into my practice, I love to share what i’ve learned … and am still learning. From the perspective of a youthful grey-haired mindfulness and yoga teacher.
